How to get there
The White Oak Amphitheatre is located at: Greensboro Complex, 1921 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27403.
Due to its location, it’s easily accessible via public transport, car, or walking if you are close by. Here are some different ways to travel to your performance, including parking options.
Rideshare and drop-off zones
If you’re using Uber, Lyft, or a taxi, there are designated drop-off and pick-up zones near the entrance. This is an excellent option if you’d rather avoid the hassle of parking, especially on busy nights.
Parking is generally well-organized and easy to navigate. However, arriving early is recommended to ensure a smooth experience.
Walking and nearby access
If you’re staying at a nearby hotel or grabbing a bite before the show, walking to White Oak Amphitheatre is easily accessible from several points around the area. Sidewalks are well-maintained, and it is in a busy but pedestrian-friendly part of town. Just keep in mind that if you’re coming from farther out, walking might not be the best option, especially late at night.
By car
If you’re considering driving, it’s relatively straightforward. The amphitheater is conveniently located near major highways, including Interstate 40, Interstate 85, and US Route 220. If you’re using GPS, enter the White Oak’s full address for accurate directions. Parking is available on-site at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, with several lots surrounding the area. Parking fees may vary by event, so it’s best to check ahead of time. Spaces can fill up quickly on busy nights, so arriving early is a good idea if you want a prime spot.The directions below will get you to the event on time. However, we cannot predict possible delays or closures on the way. So we recommend leaving early so you can avoid traffic and have plenty of time to find parking.
I-85 South/I-40 West From Burlington
From the I-85 South / I-40 west split, follow I-40 West 7.5 miles too Exit 218-B Freeman Mill Road. Go .3 miles and turn left on Coliseum Boulevard. One mile to the Complex on your left, turn left onto Ellington Street and right into the main entrance.
I-85 North From Charlotte
On I-85 North from Charlotte, take Exit 120-A to access I-85 Business North. Continue 2 miles to Exit 35-B Highway US 220 North. Proceed 1.8 miles and turn left on Coliseum Boulevard. One mile to the Complex on your left, turn left onto Ellington Street and right into the main entrance.
I-40 East From Winston-Salem
On I-40 East from Winston Salem, take Exit 216 Patterson Street, continue straight ahead for 2.4 miles to the Coliseum Complex. Or, continue 5 miles on I-40 East to Exit 217 Gate City Boulevard. Turn left at top of ramp and continue one mile on Gate City Boulevard to Ellington Street. Turn right and proceed .5 miles and enter Complex through main entrance.
Highway 220 North From Asheboro
Highway 220 North to Greensboro becomes Freeman Mill Road. Stay on Freeman Mill Road, after crossing I-85 Business, proceed 1.8 miles and turn left onto Coliseum Boulevard. Proceed one mile to the Complex on your left, turn left onto Ellington Street and right into the main entrance.
Highway 220 South from Virginia
On Highway 220 South to Greensboro, road name changes to Battleground Avenue. After crossing Cornwallis Drive, keep right which becomes Westover Terrace. Continue straight on Westover Terrace which becomes Aycock Street. Continue straight for three miles and turn right at Gaye City Boulevard (Wendy’s on the right). The Complex is one mile on your left. Turn left onto Coliseum Boulevard .3 miles to Ellington Street and turn right and enter Complex through the main entrance.
Highway Directions from Piedmont Triad International Airport
Leave the airport and exit east to I-40 and Bryan Boulevard. Remain in the right lane 1.5 miles and exit to I-73 south (unmarked) I-40 Raleigh/Winston Salem. Continue on I-73 South, 2.7 miles to exit 1 I-40 east. Continue three miles to Exit 216 Patterson Street. Continue straight ahead for 2.5 miles to the Coliseum complex. Or, continue 4.2 miles on I-40 East to Exit 217 Gate City Bopulevard. Turn left at top of ramp and continue one mile on Gate City Boulevard to Ellington Street. Turn right and proceed .5 miles and enter Complex through main entrance.
